New assays planned for 2024

QL Biotek will use the Dubai show to preview a group of new rapid test kits entering the catalogue during 2024. The launch list includes:

• Calprotectin — a faecal marker used in the follow-up of inflammatory bowel conditions.
• AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone) — applied in ovarian reserve assessment.
• ST2 and PAPPA — markers used in cardiac and prenatal screening respectively.
• Vitamin D, Vitamin A and Vitamin B12 assays.

For the vitamin tests, customers can choose between two assay platforms depending on their throughput and instrumentation: an immunofluorescence method or a colloidal gold method. This flexibility lets distributors match a product to both high-volume reference laboratories and smaller clinics running rapid lateral-flow devices.
